According to the Hong Kong Economic Times, the PLA troops stationed in Hong Kong held a flag-raising ceremony at Stonecutters Island Barracks early in the morning to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the August 1st Army Day. Commander of the PLA Hong Kong Forces Member Chen Daoxiang delivered a speech. He believed that the implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law in Hong Kong was an important milestone in the practice of”One Country, Two Systems”. He emphasized that the garrison is a”sacred needle” for maintaining Hong Kong’s prosperity and stability.
