Tanzanian President Magufuli swearing in office after being re-elected
Ma Gu Fuli said at the inauguration ceremony that he will continue to promote the construction of large-scale infrastructure, combat corruption, create more jobs and reduce poverty.
The National Electoral Commission of Tanzania announced on October 30 that the candidate of the ruling party Revolutionary Party and the current President Magufuli won the presidential election held on October 28 and won a second term.
The 61-year-old Magufuli has rich political experience. He has served as Tanzania’s Minister of Engineering, Minister of Land, Housing and Human Settlements and Minister of Livestock and Fisheries. He was elected President of Tanzania for the first time in October 2015.
