On November 26, local time, a farewell ceremony for the remains of legendary star Diego Maradona was held at the Argentine Presidential Palace (Rose Palace) to commemorate his great contribution to Argentina. His body will stay in the presidential palace for three days for people to mourn.
According to Argentine media reports, the Argentine government has prepared a state funeral for Maradona. Prior to this, Argentina only held a state funeral for 7 former presidents and five-time F1 champion Fangio.
On November 25th local time, Maradona died of acute pulmonary edema due to heart failure at his home in Buenos Aires at the age of 60.
