BWF updates epidemic prevention news, Neville and others are allowed to play in Thailand
China News Service, January 13th. According to the World Badminton Federation website, three players who tested positive for the new crown nucleic acid in the Asian stage of the World Badminton Tour were allowed to participate in the ongoing Thailand tournament. The relevant parties of the event believe that they were infected with the virus at the end of last year, but it does not mean that they are now infected, and that it will not threaten the safety of the event.
p > The three players are the famous Indian players Neville, Prano and German player Janssen, while El Jamal of Egypt, who also tested positive for the new crown nucleic acid, was forced to retire.
After the test results were positive, Neville and Plano were taken to the hospital, while Jason and El Jamal were in self-isolation at the hotel. Since the Nevilles share a room, Neville’s husband Kashyap was also asked to self-isolate.
After that, the samples of the four players were re-tested. The test results of Plano, Jensen and El Jamal were negative, while Neville’s test result was positive again. Subsequently, the four players underwent a second PCR test and further confirmed antibody blood tests.

Er Jamal has no antibodies to the virus and has not been infected before. The committee recommended that he withdraw from the game. It is reported that El Jamal will be sent to the hospital for further observation and testing, and will be quarantined in the hospital for at least 10 days. (End)
