Malaysia’s first mutation of B117 new coronavirus, diagnosed with UK travel history
China News Service, January 12, according to a report by Singapore’s Lianhe Zaobao, Malaysia Ministry of Health Director Nur Hisham said on the 11th that the country has had the first case of “B117” mutant new coronavirus infection. This more infectious mutant virus was first discovered in the UK.

Nur Hisham posted on personal social media on the 11th that the authorities had detected this type of virus from a patient who was diagnosed with the new crown in December 2020 who had a travel history in the UK. The patient was diagnosed on December 28 and received further treatment.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Health of Malaysia has closely monitored all entry persons from countries with cases of B117 virus.
