The School of Chinese Language and Culture of Huaqiao University launches a series of activities “The world’s youth see China for a century”
China News Service, Xiamen, April 16th (Yang Fushan and Huo Qianyu) The School of Chinese Language and Culture of Huaqiao University joined hands with the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of Xiamen Public Security Bureau and Jimei Alumni Association on the 16th to launch the theme of “World Youth Seeing China for a Century” A series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Huaqiao University Vice President Zeng Lu, Jimei Alumni Association Permanent Honorary President Ren Jingbo, Xiamen Public Security Bureau Exit-Entry Administration Deputy Head Jiang Anhai, and Jimei School Committee, Jimei Guests from universities, Jimei Middle School, Jimei Industrial School, Xiamen Ocean Vocational and Technical College and other units attended the event.
The first event invited Professor Chen Jinghua, President of Jimei Tan Kah Kee Research Association, to give a special lecture on the theme of “Patriotic Overseas Chinese Leader Tan Kah Kee and the Communist Party of China”. Chinese students, overseas Chinese and foreign students from Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Mauritius, Ecuador and other countries listened to the report.

78-year-old Professor Chen Jinghua revolves around “Tan Kah Kee’s understanding of the Communist Party of China before arriving in Yan’an”, “Exercising in Yan’an, Tan Kah Kee believes that China’s hope is in Yan’an” and “Tan Kah Kee is a friend of the Communist Party” The contents of “Tan Kah Kee and the School of Chinese Language and Culture of Huaqiao University” introduced the story of Mr. Tan Kah Kee’s sincere interaction with the Chinese Communist Party and the historical origin of Mr. Chen Kah Kee and the School of Chinese Language and Culture.
Ma Shunyu, a Chinese student from Myanmar, said that he particularly admired Mr. Tan Kah Kee’s great contribution to education. It is precisely because of Mr. Tan Kah Kee’s devotion to the construction of Jimei School Village that we have such a good learning environment today.
“Today I have set a goal for myself. I also want to establish a Chinese school so that the children of Chinese descent in my hometown can receive a better education,” he said.
Geng Shaochen, an overseas Chinese student from Ecuador, said that Mr. Tan Kah Kee has been a friend of the Communist Party of China throughout his life. Through his perspective, I have a deeper understanding of the Communist Party of China. “As a new generation of overseas Chinese, I will continue to carry forward the spirit of Jiageng, love the motherland, and be an ambassador for Sino-foreign exchanges.”
At the event, the Exit-Entry Administration of Xiamen Public Security Bureau presented “Meimei” to the overseas students of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The calligraphy works of “Harmony, Great Unity” hopes that students can continue to spread Chinese culture and become envoys to promote the “Belt and Road” people-to-people bond.
International students of the Chinese Language and Culture College will rebate paper-cut works with the theme of “Safety”, and thank the immigration police for their hard work in the management and service of international students.
The relevant person in charge of the Chinese Academy said that the follow-up will follow the theme of “the world’s youth see China for a hundred years”, leading young people at home and abroad to understand the 100-year history of the Chinese Communist Party. (End)
