The Kathmandu Valley is still a high-risk area. On that day, about 50.8% of the new cases came from the Kathmandu Valley. In order to prevent and control the epidemic, a joint meeting of the heads of the three municipal governments in the valley decided on the afternoon of the 4th to extend the current blockade period by one week until midnight on May 12.
Due to the increase in deaths, the original cremation stand in Kathmandu cannot meet the daily cremation needs. To this end, officials have set up several temporary cremation platforms in the open space near the Bagmati River.
Nepal is also facing a shortage of medical resources. “Xin Xin Nepal” reported that the government is communicating with China and other countries about importing medical supplies such as oxygen tanks. (End)
