This concert is directed by Tian Mansha, a pioneer in the reform and development of contemporary Chinese Sichuan opera, a well-known Sichuan opera performing artist, and first-class director Tian Mansha. The concert kicked off in the Sichuan Opera version of “Internationale”, with three chapters including the inheritance of classics-elegant rhyme and flow of fame, new classics-thousand sails competing to continue their glory, and red classics-magnificent and reminiscent of three chapters. The well-known classics “Shajiabang”, “Plain Operation”, “Embroidered Red Flag”, etc. and the classic inherited repertoires since the establishment of Chongqing Sichuan Theater “Jiang Sister”, “Golden”, “Li Yaxian” and many other excerpts, sing tribute to the classics at the same time Sound the future.

In the program “Old Artists Singing Together”, more than 10 old artists over the age of 70 appeared together, and a classic singing by one person was full of applause. In addition, 87-year-old Tu Qingfang brought a folding fan performance, 87-year-old Xia Tingguang performed a bearded performance, 73-year-old Yang Gang performed a rolling lamp, 75-year-old Wang Maoyi showed a xiaosheng fan style, and 76-year-old Deng Hongchang brought a big knife Performance… When these famous actors of Sichuan opera who were once active on the stage once again stood on the long-lost stage and their treasures were still young, the audience extended their highest respect with applause.

Shen Tiemei, vice chairman of the Chinese Theatre Association, chairman of Chongqing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and director of Chongqing Sichuan Theatre, is the artistic director of the concert. In an interview with reporters, she said that the concert program was in the form of “old and new”, implying the “passage” and endless life of Sichuan opera. The old artists appear on the stage again to let more young people see the spirit of Sichuan opera.

The reporter learned that during the preparation of the show, everyone expressed concern about the physical condition of the old artists, but the old artists who were concerned about Sichuan opera proposed to sign their own “military orders” and insisted on coming to the stage, which was moving.

Chongqing Sichuan Theater was built in 1951, and this year marks its 70th anniversary. Shen Tiemei mentioned that, after years of development, Sichuan Theater has made remarkable achievements in infrastructure, talent construction, repertoire inheritance, and creation of new works, and has made continuous efforts to “make Chinese opera people have a sense of dignity.”

Shen Tiemei said that she is not only a non-genetic inheritor, but also a team leader of non-genetic inheritance. In the future, Sichuan Theater will adhere to the “righteousness and innovation”, retain and pass on the outstanding Sichuan opera repertoire, so that it will shine with the current style.

The reporter noticed that there were many young figures in this Sichuan Opera concert. 15-year-old Xie Yijun is a first-year high school student in Sichuan Guangyuan Middle School.
