the competition was held from July 23 to August 31, 2021. With the themes of “let me introduce South Korea!” and “let me introduce China!”, it solicited short videos on Chinese and Korean food, travel, culture and other topics from Chinese and Korean people, and collected 271 works in more than one month. These works are exquisitely made, interesting in language and moving in content, covering many aspects of Chinese and Korean culture, tourism and social life. They present the unique charm of Chinese and Korean culture from the first perspective, and are full of the love and praise of the people of the two countries, especially the young people, for each other’s national culture. After several rounds of evaluation by experts from China and South Korea, a total of 20 excellent works (10 in China and 10 in South Korea) were selected

Video speech by Jin chenkun, Minister counsellor of the Korean Embassy in China and President of Korean culture. In his speech, Wang Yanjun congratulated the winners, thanked the organizers and judges of the competition, and praised hundreds of wonderful entries from China and South Korea. He said that China and South Korea are close geographically and close to each other. The beauty and feelings of the two countries are melted in the drops of cultural exchanges and deeply perceived and loved by each other’s nationals. The competition highlights the vigorous vitality and infinite vitality of China ROK friendship and interprets the humanistic connotation of China ROK strategic partnership. The “year of cultural exchanges between China and South Korea” has begun, and next year will usher in the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea. ZHENG Jihe thanked the people of South Korea and China for their attention and participation in the “South Korea China short video competition”, and congratulated the winners of 10 award-winning works of South Korea and China. He said that the video contest to commemorate the “2021-2022 China South Korea Cultural Exchange Year” has overcome the influence of COVID-19 and has become an important opportunity to deepen understanding of the two countries’ culture. The Korea Institute for the promotion of international cultural exchanges will continue to do a good job in the relevant activities of the “Korean Chinese cultural exchange year”. It is hoped that the people of South Korea and China will continue to create excellent cultural content, jointly promote the Korean Chinese cultural exchange to a higher level and make greater contributions to the promotion of friendship between the two countries

Jin chenkun said that the competition is a “folk cultural exchange” directly participated by the ordinary people of the two countries. among the Korean entries, the work colorful Chinese food by Kim min Chu and Kim min me won the first prize. The work introduces Chinese food with various meanings contained in the word “Xiang (Xiang, Xiang, Xiang, Xiang, Xiang)”, which contains excellent visual beauty and in-depth interpretation of Chinese food

among the Chinese entries, Wu Lijie, Zhang Yizhen and Zhang Shengnan’s k-wandering of Zhang San won the first prize. In the current difficult situation of traveling abroad, the work introduces the colorful Korean culture to the audience through various forms of paintings, comics and music, and provides an interesting experience for visiting Korea

it is reported that in order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea, the Chinese and South Korean governments jointly designated “2021-2022” as the year of cultural exchanges between China and South Korea.
